The Blue Pencil Online is edited and produced by the students in the Creative Writing Program at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, located in Natick, Massachusetts. The magazine seeks to publish the best literary work in English by young writers (12–18) around the world.
Our mission is to celebrate the freshest, most imaginative pieces by young writers. We value writing that avoids cliché, takes risks, and demonstrates great care with language. We also hope to attract writers who are willing to engage with us editorially in order to hone their work and consider with us the experience of the reader.
